Propell. Leave the levy to us
monthly levy roll
levies from the
individual owners.

With a staff compliment of more than 50, a portfolio of more than 350 sectional title schemes and now with a strong footprint in Gauteng, 2011 certainly promises to be an exciting year. The combined group will operate from Tygervalley and will be headed by Willem le Roux, the current Chief Executive Officer of Baedex. The group will operate under the Propell brand and I will remain with the group, in the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Our goal is to remain the market leader in levy financing and to offer first-rate client service coupled with a strong focus on collections. Existing, as well as prospective clients, can look forward to reaping the benefits of this combined enterprise, which will also be in a position to offer a wider range of products. Over the next few months we will meet with all our clients to discuss the implications of the transaction, as well as the additional products on offer.
I want to personally thank you for your loyalty and support.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on 021-657-3600 or via email on andre@propell.co.za

They say that more-than 30 000 sectional title schemes registered in South Africa are currently experiencing management and somewhat financial difficulties; this usually resultant from inexperienced management of the scheme and very often insufficient budgeting and an inability to collect the much needed levies timeously! This being said, we at Propell thought what better way to educate the public and more importantly the managing agents and trustees by holding a free sectional title informative event featuring no other than Marina Constas, sectional title guru.
In partnership with Annette Laing Properties the event filled all available seats at the Western province Cricket club on Saturday the 31st of July.
Some of the topics discussed on the day included:
- Basic terms used in Sectional title
- Who are the role players in a Sectional Title Scheme
- Rules of the Body Corporate
- Meetings and votes
- Common Property and Exclusive use areas
Due to the overwhelming success of the event it is going to become a more regular and recurring event on the property calendar, so keep attentive, next event to be announced shortly…
Propell.
With Propell’s information drive in full swing we sponsored the national Association of Managing Agents and IEASA breakfast seminar aimed at answering all the questions and concerns the property professionals may have.
The breakfast was held at the Manhattan Suites in Century City, it was attended by Cape Town’s most elite managing agencies.
The representative from the EAAB covered topics such as:
- Real Estate (NQF Level 3), (NQF Level 4) and (NQF Level 5)
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment
- All agents, existing agents now being obliged to comply with the new educational requirements
They say it has been implemented to professionalise the industry and ensure only qualified, competent and accredited estate agents are licensed to trade, but whether this will happen remains to be seen…
Keep well,
Team Propell…
It has been a long time in the coming, but in our socially inactive defence they do say that careful planning results in a rock-solid foundation.
With currently more than 5 million South Africans having access to the internet, it was a logical solution for Propell to position its Company fittingly in the both the online and social media environment.
The new online social campaign delivers on our strategy to empower and inform our customers and clients by aligning our business relationship strategy and with our new social media foundation.
The finance services industry struggles in the quest for uniqueness, it’s difficult to tell one companies offering from another and whether the other company has the value added service you want from it. We wanted to create something that was distinctive, that makes Propell and its values and offerings stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Our new social strategy will include:
- A wide scale advertising campaign on local and national sites
- The launch of a company blog
- The launch of an official Facebook page
- The launch of the official Twitter page
- The launch of the official LinkedIn page
With the final piece of the puzzle being our “pièce de résistance”, our new website…
See keep your eyes firmly focussed on this space, much more to come…
